Hi, I’m KERRYN MCINNES.

I’m the founder of The Passion Project, a 34-year-old woman from Kiama Downs, NSW, with a heart full of passion for nature, the outdoors, and creating spaces that nurture both the earth and the soul. My vision for The Passion Project blossomed from a desire to combine my love for gardening, permaculture, and holistic well-being into a community-centric space that thrives on principles of sustainability, education, and connection.

Embarking on this journey was fueled by personal aspirations to overcome chronic fatigue and cultivate a life filled with health, happiness, and financial abundance. The Passion Project is more than just a business; it’s a reflection of my commitment to earth care, offering a systems-based Permaculture Market Garden and a sanctuary for workshops such as yoga, breathwork, art, and education. Each element of the project, from hot beds and composting systems to aeroponics and food forests, is carefully designed to not only regenerate the land and offer a bounty of organic produce but to offer valuable education that empowers individuals towards food sovereignty, teaching them to cultivate their own food and fostering independence in harmony with the environment.

As I’ve grown in this space over the last two years I’ve learned countless skills, continued to attend courses on soil health and built a community of local food business owners and fellow growers.

Food security is now more important than ever and I believe I have more ability now than ever before to help people on their own food journeys.
